The Growing Up in North America:
Child Health and Safety in Canada, the United States and Mexico

This is the second report of a series and presents an overview of the health and safety of children in North America. In preparation of Growing Up in North America: Child Health and Safety in Canada, United States and Mexico report, the partners of the Children in North America Project have examined 58 health and safety indicators.

This report brings forward the highlights regarding basic indicator such as health, death rates and access to health services; points to emerging and sometimes worrisome health issues in the three nations -for example mental health, nutrition- and, examines some challenging issues as sexual health, tobacco, alcohol and drugs.
